How Eve's story began

The Eve and Friends series was years in the making. It all started during a conversation with a family member (Alex) who lives on the farm right here in Middletown. He shared the unforgettable story of Eve, an adventurous cow who ran away, and the care it took to bring her safely home.

Real family, real adventures

While Eve and Friends is a work of fiction, its roots run deep in real life. The boys featured in the stories are my grandsons. Although they live in Virginia, they love visiting Rhode Island to explore the farm and spend time with Eve herself, bringing genuine wonder and joy into each book.

Guiding kids through change

Growing up comes with unexpected moments and transitions. The main heart of these stories is helping children learn how to deal with changes with courage and resilience. Whether facing a new routine or a strange journey, Eve and her friends show that change can lead to wonderful discoveries.
